Senior Level Finance Executive
Summary of Position: Family Office focused on Real Estate Development; Reporting to the Owner, this Senior Finance/Accountant role will work with Owner on raising equity, meeting with investors, projections for ROI, prepare proformas; as well as full charge accountant for multiple companies working on various accounting related projects and initiatives with outside CPA.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assisting with Raising Equity for Real Estate Developments
- Meetings and presentations for Investors and Potential Investors
- Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with accounting principles and company policies
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of revenue and other key accounts
- Prepare monthly bank and balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records and identifying any discrepancies or variances for timely resolution
- Act as a key player in the completion of annual financial statements working closely with CPA
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and cross-functional teams on various projects
- Assist with other accounting functions/ special projects as needed
- Make recommendations and suggestions for improvements and efficiencies related to accounting functions and processes
- Human Resource functions
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting and an active CPA license are required
- 6+ years' experience of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on General Ledger accounting
- Proficiency in accounting software systems and Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point
- Experience in public accounting and raising private equity
- Effective time management skills, ensuring efficient task prioritization and completion
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to delivering high quality work
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment
