Essential Functions:
- Under close supervision, assists in analyzing and underwriting contract and commercial surety accounts
- Analyzes financial statements, work in progress reports, and overall credit worthiness
- Gains knowledge of bond terminology, forms and underwriting standards
- Attends agency visits with the bond staff to gain an understanding of the independent agency system.
- Develops proper file documentation in connection with underwriting actions
Education & Experience:- Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting, finance, or business, or equivalent relevant experience
- Experience in the insurance, banking, or construction industry preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills
- Good keyboarding skills, Internet and basic computer knowledge
- Good human relation skills, including written and verbal communication skills
- Occasional travel required; a valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle report per company standards required if traveling
Per the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the hiring range for this position for Colorado-based team members is $53,000 - $69,000.
