As a Power Trader, you'll play a vital role in buying and selling electricity to keep the lights on across the community. You'll work closely with a team of experts to analyze market trends, pricing, make trading decisions, and manage risks.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor energy markets to identify trading opportunities.
- Execute trades to buy and sell electricity.
- Develop trading strategies to optimize financial returns on the portfolio
- Analyze data to forecast supply and demand.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop trading strategies.
- Manage risks to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements:
- 2+ years' in power trading (asset-backed or prop) managing your own PnL and VaR
- Degree education
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Interest in the energy industry (previous experience is a plus but not required).
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing situations.
