At GreenStone Farm Credit Services, we're seeking an individual interested in joining our Crop Insurance Specialty and Fruit team and be a part of a company that values innovation, collaboration, and excellence. This position provides effective, efficient support to the crop insurance sales function.

This position will can be located in Grand Rapids or Traverse City, MI and is eligible for a hybrid schedule with a required 3 days in the office.

Day in the life of a Crop Insurance Technician

  • Process Crop Insurance Policies
  • Map Producers Farms
  • Work with Agents to Manage Tasks
  • Work with insurance underwriters to ensure accuracy
  • Perform audits for quality control
  • Continuously learn about the specialty crop industry.

What Experience can you Bring?

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent.
  • 1 year of administrative experience need
  • Must be proficient in computer technology and Microsoft applications.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills to successfully communicate both verbally and written.
  • Ability to quickly learn and effectively use new process and procedures to meet business initiatives.
  • Ability to work effectively on teams by building strong relationships, listening to others, valuing opinions, and helping team to meet goals.
  • Basic knowledge of varied crop insurance policies, procedures, and practices is preferred.
  • Knowledge of insurance principles and practices, insurance processing and servicing activities is preferred.
  • Incumbent uses customer database as a marketing tool, a place to document customer correspondence/notes, forms, policy tracking, and reports.
