Title: Staff Accountant
Location: Broward County
O/H/R: Office & Hybrid & Remote
Responsibilities:
1.General Ledger Maintenance:
- Record and reconcile financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring its accuracy and completeness.
2.Financial Reporting
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
3.Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Process invoices, payments, and expense reports.
- Monitor and manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances.
4.Bank Reconciliation
- Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
5.Expense Management
- Monitor and control expenses by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
- Analyze variances and communicate findings to management.
6.Compliance and Regulation
- Stay informed about relevant accounting regulations and ensure compliance.
- Assist in the preparation of documentation for audits.
7.Financial Analysis
- Provide support in analyzing financial data and trends to support decision-making processes.
8.Collaboration
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze financial information.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
