Nurse Informatics Specialist (Hybrid/Orlando)


Job Details

Serves as an application support person for all IT needs with the Medical Center including, implementing, testing, training, and problem-solving. Ensures the practice management software is secure effective and compliant with all existing laws and regulations. Uses all available systems to collect and analyze operational and health data. As well as advising Rosen Medical Center leadership in all facets of clinical IT.


Responsibilities:

  • Serves as Project Manager for all Rosen Associate Medical Center (RAMC) IT needs and projects, inclusive of implementations of any new programs.
  • Software specialist for practice management software (currently Intergy). With this will be responsible for: Admin and Clinical software training Code and version updates Coordinating software, server and security maintenance with appropriate Millennium Technology Group representative. Serving as direct liaison with Intergy to plan for any new license requirements, upgrades and any other necessary communication.
  • Responsible for all IT training with RAMC and RAMC2 (UCF Office) inclusive of but not limited to Intergy, respective patient portal and any other software in use by RAMC.
  • Ensures all software systems and IT processes used within the RAMC are up to date as it relates to versions, licensing, backups and proper use. This list includes but is not limited to Practice management, portal analytics, population health management, data integration and patient portal.
  • MTG liaison for all RAMC software and hardware needs inclusive of tracking work order to ensure satisfactory completion. Attend the monthly RAMC/Tech meeting.
  • Produces necessary weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual report by accessing the data base and the analytics module within Intergy.
  • Develop relationships with other Itnergy users to obtain best practices and ensure RAMC is optimizing the use of the software.
  • Continually research methods to enhance the use of software and systems in place. This includes but is not limited to the PBX system, practice analytics, data integration possibilities, and Rosen Health Solutions.
  • Continually research new products to enhance service and clinical processes. To include mobile apps and telemedicine.
  • Serves as the HIPAA compliance officer with the RAMC
  • Dedicated to providing a secure effective, integrated patient care delivery system that continually improves outcomes, reduces cost and enhances patient experience.
  • Works collaboratively with all clinical users of the information system. Ensuring that the provider and patient needs are met.


Requirements:

Registered nursing credentials are required as is a minimum 3 year experience in a similar role. Understands the structure and function of complex medical office database technology. Microsoft Office proficiency is also required.


Other Skills:

  • Utilizes clinical knowledge and skill to determine clinical functions that are suitable for computer applications. Works to resolve challenges of the flow of data and processes via clinical information systems.
  • Collects and analyzes process and operational data.
  • Evaluate current systems (ongoing), and make appropriate recommendations to improve functionality and process.
