A Research Scientist II position is available in Dr. Lisa Kunza's research group in the Center for Sustainable Solutions and Department of Chemistry, Biology, and Health Sciences of the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. This is a full-time, benefited position. This position involves research in environmental science, water resources, water quality, and remediation. The research scientist will utilize statistical tools to analyze temporal and spatial data. The ideal applicant will have significant experience with freshwater ecosystems, statistical analysis, and field experience. The Research Scientist II is expected to perform independent research, mentor junior group members, present work at scientific meetings, and prepare scientific publications. Through this position, the research scientist will contribute to ongoing research, collaborating with state and federal agencies and nongovernmental organizations, and have opportunities for professional development.

A master's degree or PhD in biological sciences or similar field is required as well as 1 to 3 years of relevant experience.
