GENERAL SUMMARY

The Director, Business Development for Beyond Green Travel (BGT) is responsible for driving business growth, cultivating strategic partnerships, and expanding our client base within the hospitality and tourism sectors.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP

Under the general supervision of the Executive Vice President, PTG Consulting Hospitality, the Director, Business Development will identify and pursue new business opportunities in sustainability consulting. This role meets regularly with BGT subject matter experts, as well as will collaborate with other development roles within Preferred Travel Group.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Business Development Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to drive sustainable growth in the hospitality and tourism sectors.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders in the hospitality and tourism industry, including hotel owners, executives, and sustainability leaders.
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, market demands, and competitor activities. Conduct thorough market analysis to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Sales and Revenue Generation: Achieve and exceed sales targets by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. Develop compelling proposals and presentations tailored to the specific needs of hospitality and tourism clients.
  • Partnership Development: Collaborate with industry organizations, government agencies, and other stakeholders to establish strategic partnerships that enhance our position in the hospitality sustainability consulting space.

PTG Consulting, Preferred Hotels & Resorts and Beyond Green Brand Support:

  • The Director will identify, pursue and communicate opportunities for Preferred Travel Group as appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven track record of successful business development in the sustainability consulting or hospitality industry.
  • Strong understanding of sustainability practices.
  • Results driven individual with passion for sustainability
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Must be extremely flexible and adaptable to constant change.
  • Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Proficient level of written and verbal English.
  • Sound computer knowledge including Microsoft Office.
  • Positive attitude and good communications skills.
  • Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service.
  • Ability to take initiative.
  • Self-motivator with the ability to work independently and as a team player
  • Worker characteristic are normally acquired through the completion of a university degree program or related hotel/travel industry experience.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This is a home based role. Preferred Travel Group will offer technology requirements as needed.

REQUIRED TRAINING

1. Orientation to company, including PTG Consulting, Beyond Green Hotels and Preferred Hotels & Resorts

2. PTG CRM Training

3. PTG HR & IT Required training modules

Salary range: USD $98,000 - $125,000; actual compensation within this range will be based on location, individual skills and experience.
