Position Description:
Manages the warehouse, logistics and scheduling departments for 2a USA. Provides leadership and direction to Materials Management personnel. Leads the implementation of strategic projects.
Job Responsibilities:
- Production planning, logistics and supply planning for 2a USA and lead the implementation of strategic projects.
- Manage the entire plant and external warehouse material flow process from receiving to shipping.
- Negotiations for commodity buying.
- Manage the annual budget, monthly financial reports, and other related documents.
- Monitor forecasts and demand to determine capacity, identify changes or to determine their effect on supply chain activities.
- Define performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of supply chain factors, inventory accuracy, and shipping/receiving compliance.
- Inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, manage fill rates, determine estimated time of arrival, reduce waste, or optimize customer service.
- Production scheduling to meet the sales forecast.
- Component and product inventory is stored and managed in an appropriate manner.
- Manage activities related to tactical purchasing, material requirements planning, inventory control, vendor managed inventory, logistics, warehousing, shipping and receiving.
- Participate in the coordination of engineering changes, product line extensions, or new product launches to ensure orderly and timely transitions in material or production flow.
- Responsible to supervise material handlers, shipping clerks and logistics personnel.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in engineering, business, operations management, inventory management or similar field
Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and management.
- Knowledge of effective inventory management and distribution practices.
- Knowledge of supply chain processes, including shipping/receiving flow, inventory management, control and logistics planning, warehousing.
Proficient in the use of ERP.
Lean Management, 5S and ERP knowledge
3-5 years warehouse inventory experience preferred, ideally in a manufacturing or logistics environment.
Ability to operate forklift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
