Craftsmen Utility Trailers is full service semi-trailer dealership headquartered in St. Louis, MO with branch locations in Sikeston, MO and Davenport, IA. The second generation, family-owned business has been a market leader for the past 4 decades in the Transportation Industry. With a goal of continuing to grow our business with both existing and future customers, we are looking for an industry leader to join our sales team.


REPORTS TO: Director of Sales


PURPOSE OF POSITION:

To develop, cultivate and maintain strong relationships with current customers and future customers within our territory.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Sell Craftsmen s New Trailer Lines in our Territory of Responsibility with Special Focus on St. Louis MO, Eastern MO and Southern IL.
  • Leverage and Manage Existing Relationships in our Territory of Responsibility.
  • Visit customers on a regular basis.
  • Research and develop new account opportunities.
  • Follow up with prospects on services and/or equipment needed.
  • Prepare quote documents with detailed pricing, specs & timeline.
  • Manage the Sale from Start to Finish.
  • Regularly Relay timeline information to customers.
  • Communicate New Orders within the team for tracking purposes.
  • Establish Relationships within our Sales Team and our Vendor Partners for future prosperity.
  • Establish Relationships within our Parts & Service Teams.
  • Foster an environment of communication within the Sales team.
  • Attend & Organize Customer Events.
  • Be actively involved in Industry Associations.
  • Continue to acquire knowledge and learn the Trailer and Transportation Industry.
  • Advise Director of Sales of all Significant Sales Opportunities.
  • Handle all customer concerns professionally with a focus on a long-term relationship.
  • Promote all areas of the company: Service, Parts, and Sales.
  • Reinforce Craftsmen safety standards and assist with our safety programs.

REQUIRMENTS:

  • This position requires a College degree or equivalent of 3 to 5 years of Inside/Outside sales and relationship selling experience within the Transportation Industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft products. Excel a must and the ability to operate other office equipment. The ability to efficiently navigate Windows based software. Use of all current technology as a communication and efficiency tool is a must.
  • Requires the ability to read, write, communicate, and interpret accurately in English. This position requires the ability to read and write reports and communicate effectively via business correspondence. Employee must demonstrate the ability to interact tactfully, positively, and strategically with customers, vendor partners and team members.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to interpret bar graphs and reports. Calculation and understanding of profit and loss statements, budgets, and reports.

  • The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, twist, reach, drive, and climb a ladder. A valid driver license will be required to operate Craftsmen vehicles.
  • Requires the ability to operate a personal computer, smart phone, multi-line phone, calculator, and other basic office equipment.

Job Type: Full-time


Salary: From $85,000.00 per year
