Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Branch Manager to oversee our Columbia, SC business unit. Responsibilities include working with the Branch manager to ensure successful traffic control operations, project estimating/ procurement, quality control, and business development. The ideal candidate
will have a strong background in Civil Construction operations, paving, milling, borrow, and traffic control operations. They will have excellent leadership skills, an understanding of organizational structure, be reliable, and a commitment to safety, efficiency, and business growth. Overall, we are seeking a team leader who's committed to the success of both the company and the employees within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership:
- Oversee daily operations of the traffic control team.
- Develop and implement operational procedures to ensure efficient workflow.
- Monitor performance metrics and implement improvements as needed.
Estimating:
- Prepare accurate and competitive bids for traffic control projects.
- Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documents to determine project requirements.
- Collaborate with the sales and project teams to develop pricing strategies and proposals.
Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand company growth.
- Build and maintain relationships with potential and existing clients.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote company services and generate leads.
Team Management:
- Recruit, train, and mentor staff to ensure a high level of competency and professionalism.
- Schedule and manage team assignments to meet client needs and project deadlines.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Project Management:
- Coordinate with clients to understand project requirements and expectations.
- Plan and allocate resources effectively to meet project timelines and budgets.
- Monitor project progress and address any issues or delays proactively.
Safety Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and address potential hazards.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and adherence to safety protocols among staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Business Management preferred but not required, Operations Management, or related field.
- Minimum of [3 years] of experience in traffic control or a similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of traffic management regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Proven experience in estimating and business development.
