Essential Job Responsibilities - Stack, soak, and run the dish machine
- Soak and clean pots and pans, putting away in storage after dry
- Clean equipment, appliances, storage area, and sinks according to schedule
- Participate in serving food and beverages, as needed
- Prepare beverages before meals.
- Provide customer service to residents to allow a high level of resident satisfaction.
- Bus tables during and after meals and clear tables when residents are finished eating.
- Vacuum carpet in the dining room after each meal.
- Maintain a clean, orderly and safe kitchen environment.
- Store food properly for infection control.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience and Other Requirements - Must be age 16 or older
- Ability to read, write and comprehend the English language
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required - Promote teamwork in providing services to residents.
- Follow state food-handling and kitchen regulations
- Operation of basic kitchen appliances or willingness to learn.
- Working 3-3.75 hours per shift standing, walking, and moving about without the need to sit down
Preferred Qualifications - Willingness to learn and help others
- Enjoyment in working with older adults
- Some experience in food cleanup or preparation is preferred
