Job Description:

This class of positions encompasses responsible clinical and administrative work of varying degrees of difficulty and responsibility involving day-to-day tasks of an operating segment of the Radiology department in the delivery of radiological services. Operates x-ray equipment, develops images, and prepares radiological areas, equipment, supplies and contrast materials.


Duties & Responsibilities:

Performs responsible supervisory, administrative and clinical activities involving day-to-day supervision of those performing specialized imaging procedures with diagnostic and interventional radiography. May be required to perform these procedures, in a specialty area in which they are certified, as needed.

1. Will assist in the performance of fluoroscopic and ultrasound-based procedures including biopsies, central venous access, angiograms, embolization's, among many other procedures.

2. Will be responsible for the imaging needs within these cases, as well as for providing necessary devices during the case (e.g. wires, catheters, biopsy needles, etc.).

3. Will work with the nurses and PAs in radiology to help maintain adequate stock of equipment, ensure its upkeep, etc. You will be an integral part of our interventional radiology team.


Minimum Qualifications:

1. Valid license and current registration to practice Diagnostic Radiography as a Radiologic Technologist issued by the NYSDOH; and

2. Possession of a current advanced-level certification in the appropriate specialty area; and

3. Two (2) years of Radiologic Technologist experience performing duties consistent with lower Assignment Levels, one (1) year of which must have been in a supervisory capacity.
