Robert Half Finance and Accounting has partnered with a reputable company in North Dallas to identify a QuickBooks Bookkeeper. The QuickBooks Bookkeeper must have 5 + years bookkeeping experience and will be responsible for the following: accounts payable, accounts receivable, and journal entries. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in QuickBooks and a meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate recording and reporting of financial data.
Responsibilities:
- Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies as needed.
- Prepare and process payments to vendors, ensuring adherence to payment terms and company policies.
- Maintain organized records of accounts payable transactions.
- Generate customer invoices accurately and promptly.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Process customer payments and reconcile accounts receivable ledger.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to customer payments.
- Record daily financial transactions into the general ledger.
- Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, adjustments, and other financial activities.
- Maintain accuracy and integrity of the general ledger through reconciliations and analysis.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Qualifications
- 5 + years bookkeeping expereince
- Proficiency in QuickBooks software is essential.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., QuickBooks Certification) would be advantageous.
