Job Details
Seeking an experienced and professional Product Manager who ideally has some platform experience along with very strong project management and communication skills to join a Fortune 500 Financial Corporation. The Product Manager will have day-to-day product responsibilities for 1 tech team (each team has a dedicated Team Lead with 4-5 engineers) and serve as the platform incident communications manager. Along with serving as product manager for the tech team, you will be key in revisioning and recreating several platform processes and communication strategies to provide visibility and transparency to our stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience working in a technical field (financial industry is a plus) as Product Manager. You will also have exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a background in process and project management.
The day to day PM responsibilities include:
- Backlog refinement be the visionary for what we are driving
- Ensure delivery of code meets product expectations / acceptance criteria
- Be point of contact for team when they have nuanced questions, require additional insights, etc.
- Handle stakeholder and tenant communications
- Perform required discovery activities to help with identifying the acceptance criteria and articulating what we need to our teams who will determine how to build it.
The day to day incident management responsibilities include:
- Manage all platform production incident communication to stakeholders and partners
- Drive clarity and provide updates to fully resolve incidents
- Own and enhance the existing incident management process
- Track and provide trends analysis for incidents
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree required
- 2+ years of product management experience in tech or financial services
- 2+ years of project management experience in tech or financial services
- Proficient in Google Suite
- Experience with AWS preferred but not required
- Ability to self-manage and escalate potential roadblocks with confidence
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
- Experience in resource and task management with the ability to explore solution-oriented approaches based on project-specific needs
