A top Bay-Area SaaS startup is looking for a senior/lead frontend developer to join them as a founding engineer within their growing technology team. This company is at the forefront of redefining observability in the modern data-driven world. As businesses grapple with the massive influx of machine data from infrastructure and applications, they offer a groundbreaking solution with their Machine Data Management Platform.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing the front-end architecture of our platform, focusing on creating an intuitive, efficient, and engaging user experience. You will collaborate closely with the CTO and CPO, backend engineers and product designers to develop interactive data visualization and management tools, directly influencing how customers interact with their platform.
Responsibilities:
-Lead the development of the frontend framework for our Machine Data Management Platform using React.
-Build and maintain robust, reusable code and libraries that pave the way for future projects.
-Ensure high-performance application delivery across multiple devices, optimizing for speed and scalability.
-Define API specifications and integrate frontend components with backend services.
-Keep abreast of emerging frontend technologies and advocate for their adoption where applicable.
-Conduct thorough code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and uphold best practices in software development.
Qualifications:
-Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
-5+ years of experience in frontend development, with extensive expertise in React.js and its core principles.
-Proficiency in web markup, including HTML5, CSS3, and advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks.
-Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Tokens.
-Familiarity with modern frontend build pipelines and tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
Up to 200k base + 10% bonus + equity
