Senior Business Systems Analyst

Job Description:

The Senior Business Systems Analyst (SBSA) will play a pivotal role in managing the efficiency and high level of teamwork between internal and external teams. The SBSA will use both their IT knowledge and project management experience to ensure alignment on goals to best meet the needs of their customer group.


Responsibilities:

Business Process Analysis / Project Management

  • Responsible for functional business analysis, requirements definition, and validation for all OEM Information Technology projects.
  • Facilitating planning and project management of technical IT initiatives across the company
  • Documenting and communicating detailed business requirements
  • Acting as the main liaison between OEM teams and the IT team
  • Providing outstanding communication across all functional areas to ensure alignment on project timelines and scope
  • Recommending and developing business process improvements
  • Working with OEMs to identify and recommend desired process modifications and enhancements
  • Documenting and modeling business processes and associated data, including both as-is current processes and to-be improved processes
  • Keeping customers informed of business analysis work progress and project schedules
  • Function as a Project Manager role on assigned projects to create timelines, execute activities, and drive project deadlines.
  • Apply sound change management practices to control scope of Information Technology projects
  • Meet quality, schedule, and cost commitments, under pressure, with little supervision


Systems Analysis

  • Understanding the dependencies and impact on multiple internal and external 3rd party systems
  • Consulting and collaborating with other analysts and teams on projects that have cross-functional dependencies
  • Collaborating with development resources to design solutions that meet user requirements and maintain system integrity
  • Defining and coordinating system-level integration and performance testing


Project Execution

  • Developing project timelines, milestones, and deliverables for assigned projects within defined high-level parameters of cost, time, and scope.
  • Managing and balancing dependencies, constraints, and priorities across multiple initiatives
  • Applying change management procedures on projects to control scope.
  • Communicating issues and resolution timelines to meet project dates, escalating to Executive Leadership when appropriate.
  • Providing overall project status to project stakeholders
  • Facilitating documentation and approval of requirements changes of either a business or technical nature, using clear change management procedures.
  • Ensuring proper project documentation exists and is available


Requirements Management

  • Leading stakeholders, including OEMs and associates, in review of business requirements.
  • Documenting detailed business requirements in terms of complete workflows, business rules, use cases, data needs, and testing scripts.
  • Working with associates to develop user acceptance test objectives, test plans, and test scripts to verify and accept that business requirements have been met
  • Obtaining OEM approval of the documented requirements
  • Reviewing technical analysis documents, test scripts and test results to verify project requirements are understood and addressed completely, correctly, and consistently
  • Performing functional end-to-end system tests and ensuring business user acceptance tests of Information Solutions system changes as agreed in test plans
  • Planning and estimating business analysis work as described above


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree with Master s Degree preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years enterprise-level IT business systems analysis experience
  • Minimum 3 years Project Management experience
  • Strong communication skills to OEMs (customers) and multiple levels of the organization
  • Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, Visio, PowerPoint
  • Facilitation and negotiation skills

Pay Range:

  • $90,000-$120,000/year
