Elementary School RN Contract Job in Bremerton, WA Location: Bremerton, WA Hours: 37.5 hours per week Dates: May 13th, 2024 - June 14th, 2024 Pay: $40/hour Minimum Requirements: Qualified to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington and holds an unrestricted license Certified in CPR or BLS (or obtain in the first 30 days) Possess a valid WA State driver s license Must pass WA State fingerprint requirements Knowledge of specialized medical equipment (feeding tubes, pumps, etc ) Recommendations: a) B.S.N. or Registered Nurse with a bachelor s degree in a related discipline. b) Minimum of one (1) year experience in public health nursing, community health nursing, school health, or pediatric nursing. c) Previous experience as a nurse in the school setting preferred Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Bremerton, WA, to provide exceptional healthcare services to elementary school students. As a School RN, you will play a crucial role in promoting and maintaining the health and well-being of students in the school setting. Responsibilities: Provide direct healthcare services to students, including assessment, treatment, and emergency care as needed. Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and school policies. Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with special medical needs. Conduct health screenings and assessments to identify health concerns and implement appropriate interventions. Educate students, staff, and parents on health-related topics, including disease prevention, nutrition, and hygiene. Maintain accurate and confidential health records for all students. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Valid RN license in the State of Washington. CPR or BLS certification (or willingness to obtain within the first 30 days of employment). Minimum of one (1) year of experience in public health nursing, community health nursing, school health, or pediatric nursing preferred. Previous experience working as a nurse in a school setting is highly desirable. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
