**Hotel General Manager**

**We are looking for a hotel launching expert to join Sosuite as Hotel General Manager in the greater Philadelphia/New Jersey area.**
In your new role as Hotel General Manager, you will fuse **old-school hotel wisdom** with Sosuites **tech-enabled, low-touch hospitality brand** to build a **next-generation** hotel operating model. You will begin your first 18-24 months at Sosuite by launching a big-box hotel in New Jersey, proximate to Philadelphia. As the Sosuite expert in hotels, and in partnership with the owner-developer, you will be the first source of high-level hotel operating ideas and ideals, and the final signature on any hotel-related decision. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders at Sosuite, who are experts at short-term-rental apartment management and hospitality technology, to develop a scalable and profitable hotel strategy. The hotel business you will start with Sosuite in New Jersey will become the foundation of Sosuites hotel strategy and your personal stepping stone towards the potential to lead hotels nation-wide.
**What youll be doing:**
* Launch a big-box 300-rooms hotel in New Jersey, proximate to Philadelphia, in need of heavy renovation and with a complex set of existing amenities
* Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including Sosuites executive operations team and the owner-developer of the hotel project
* Make high-level decisions regarding the renovations, budgets, brand, and strategy for the new hotel
* Develop and finalize a franchise agreement with a soft brand to ensure Sosuites success in marketing, distribution, and revenue generation
* Leverage Sosuites existing finance, supply chain, customer service, and tech resources to achieve success, or create new internal teams as approved by the executive team
* In partnership with a design, sourcing, and procurement partner, approve a design vision for materials and FF&E to meet budget and brand standards
* In partnership with the owners development company and a logistics company, ensure the success of the hotel renovations up to the go-live date
* Build an operating model for the new hotel, including staffing for the hotel-designated LLC
* Make software sourcing decisions as necessary
* Develop a revenue generation strategy taking into account the market and the hotels amenities
* Build a team for the new hotel, including Operations Managers and Housekeeping Managers as appropriate
* Build in scalability and repeatability by ensuring that the developing strategy is consistent with Sosuites long-term vision for hotel management in the United States
**Who you are:**
* 5+ years senior management experience at large hotels (required)
* 3+ years experience launching new hotels with full project ownership as a General Manager, Area General Manager, or similar (required)
* An expert in all things hotels: branding, revenue management, design & renovations, supply chain, customer service, food & beverage, housekeeping, maintenance, and similar (required)
* Experience in resorts and water parks (preferred)
* Experience leading the development of new business models at early- or mid-stage startups (preferred)
* Project management experience in construction or similar (preferred)
* Ability to take control of projects and ensure success in a messy environment with many internal and external stakeholders
* A refined understanding of how to best work with and influence real estate owners and developers
* Proven ability to successfully negotiate contracts and agreements with external partners
* Willingness to roll up your sleeves up get your hands dirty when the success of your project depends upon it
* Excellent communication skills and well-developed professionalism
* Extremely comfortable with tech and software, and the ability to quickly learn and master new applications
