Position Description
Known for our work in public & health safety, we are a seeking a detail oriented and efficient Accounting Clerk to navigate through changes in our accounting system and support essential clerical accounting functions. This role involves data entry, reconciliation, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and handling various financial transactions such as credit card entries. The ideal candidate should possess multitasking abilities and meticulous attention to detail, and ability to self-solution.
Skills Required
Assist in navigating through changes in the accounting system during this transition period. Perform data entry, reconciliation, and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. Handle various financial transactions including credit card entries and checks. Process incoming mail, applications, and payments on a daily basis. Assist in entering revenue data from credit cards and checks into the system. Ensure accurate and timely processing of W9 forms, fingerprints, and other documentation. Participate in cross-training initiatives to enhance skillset and contribute to team efficiency Verify ACH payment is received correctly and payment remittance has been successfully sent out/distributed. Make sure candidate is proficient in Excel
Experience Required
High attention to detail and strong data entry skills. Ability to multitask and manage various accounting tasks simultaneously. Proficient in handling accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. Familiarity with credit card transactions and payment processing. Basic understanding of accounting principles and reconciliations. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members and distributing mail
