Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology has an amazing Residential Custodial Steward opportunity for individuals excited and committed to lifelong learning as well as being a key member of our success.

As a member of our Residential Custodial Steward team working Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., you will be responsible for the day-to-day function of the campus by keeping Institutional spaces clean, sanitized, and orderly. As a Residential Custodial Steward, you will maintain an assigned area keeping it thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and in orderly condition. You will receive and restock supplies for chemical dispensers, paper dispensers, and cleaning supplies for public spaces, restrooms, and shower room purposes. You will also perform regular cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, operating a vacuum, trash removal, dusting, and sanitizing all areas and surfaces of Institutional buildings including but not limited to restrooms, lounges, living spaces, windows, and hallways. Our Residential Custodial Stewards have regular communication with students to align room cleaning with student schedules, interact and actively engage with students to provide their home with a positive, inclusive, and close-knit community, and provide open communication with Residence Life and student staff to work with students of concern and adapt to student needs. You will be an integral part of maintaining a sanitary and safe environment for all on campus, while providing exceptional customer service.

Qualified candidates will hold a High School Diploma or GED equivalent and one to two years' work experience required. In addition to the required qualifications, preferred candidates will demonstrate attention to detail. Successful completion of pre-employment screenings that include a background check and physical ability assessment are required of the selected finalist(s).
