Maintenance Supervisor


Job Details

Brembo North America, a world leader and innovator in the design and manufacturing of braking systems and components, is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor.


The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the work execution of all activities and assigned projects within the plant. They are responsible to the Maintenance Manager for the efficient and effective use of department/shift manpower, materials, parts and other resources under their supervision. They are charged with the development of journeyman and technicians under their supervision into a well-trained, committed, and spirited maintenance team . They must also be able to provide equipment-related expertise and technical guidance to ensure proper work execution.


DUTIES

  • Direct all planned job packages for completeness and correctness, assign priority of how work will be completed.
  • Participate in daily maintenance meetings to discuss downtime and corrective actions based on plant needs.
  • Coordinate maintenance efforts between shifts to achieve orderly and accurate changeover to quickly resolve downtime carry over issues. Discuss long term fixes to chronic issues.
  • Manage personnel via evaluation, training, and communication.
  • Maintain all work areas in a safe and orderly fashion according to plant & 5S standards.
  • Guide shift to maintain CMMS information accuracy and effectiveness to include work orders, PM tasks and detailed information as required.
  • Involvement with continuous improvement on PM system to ensure that job functions are serving proper purpose to eliminate downtime.


QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

  • Journeyman s card in general maintenance, machine repair, electrical, millwright, or equivalent technical training.
  • Previous leadership experience preferred.


TECHNICAL SKILLS AND PRIOR EXPERIENCE

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance or plant experience required.
  • Proficient in CNC machine operation, setup and programming, computer skills, CAD/CAM including GD&T, manufacturing tooling design, lean concepts, experience in grinding, balancing and drilling operations, automation, logic, mechanical, design, and implementation.
  • Ability to develop, evaluate and improve manufacturing methods.
  • Utilizing knowledge of product design, material and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, manufacturing methods and quality control standards.
