We are adding a Social Media Content Specialist to our small but mighty product marketing team. This role will be supporting social media planning, leading content creation, and leading publishing for B2B and B2C client brands and our internal Montgomery Code brand.
Some days you ll be leading in-studio or on-site photo shoots, while other days offer remote content editing, copywriting, and publishing. If you love storytelling through brilliant photos and videos, love both consumer product and technology product spaces, and stay current with the latest social trends, this is the role for you!
We are seeking someone local to West Michigan or willing to relocate to West Michigan in order to grow and collaborate with our team, and due to the nature of on-site content production.
Role & Responsibilities
- Own social media content creation and publishing for Facebook, Instagram, Threads, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, and/or TikTok platforms, planning collaboratively with our Creative Strategists
- Own photography production in studio, client site, and public environments
- Own photography post-processing including editing, re-touching, and prepping for distribution
- Coordinate model talent, props, and required materials for photo shoots
- Support video production for large-scale projects and own social short-form video production (Instagram and TikTok reels)
- Lead copywriting for social media captions and descriptions
- Support collaborative content coordination for team website and print deliverables
- Develop strong, trusting relationships between clients and agency partners, providing support during strategy, ideation, and execution
- Be an agile, adaptable collaborator that thrives in a variety of environments
- Have interest in technical products, launching startups, and broad project variety

Specs
- Experience: 2-8 years in business social media, photography, and/or digital marketing
- Education: Bachelor s degree in Marketing, Communications, PR, Advertising, or a related field
- Location: Hybrid role with optional remote work, but will often work from Grand Rapids studio and client sites for content production
- PTO: 2 weeks, plus 6 paid holidays
- Benefits: Health and retirement benefits are not offered at this time
- Salary: $45-60k based on skills and experience

This Social Media Content Specialist role offers an exciting opportunity to experience many unique industries including startup, industrial, tourism, consumer product, and entertainment brands.
Our team is currently 5 members strong with added support from a few friendly contractors. Three of us are local to Grand Rapids, MI and the others live in Detroit and Chicago. As part of a small team, you ll have opportunities to experience many facets of content production and client business processes, and to grow with our organization.
