JOB PURPOSE: To clean and stock guest rooms to hotel cleanliness standards. Report maintenance deficiencies in order to maintain room in compliance with standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION: - Cleans guest room and bathroom to include, but not limited to, bathtub, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and floors using proper procedures and chemicals per hotel standards.
- Change linen and make beds in accordance with hotel procedures.
- Dusts all guest room surfaces to include, but not limited to, furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges, and shelves.
- Vacuums guest room carpets in accordance with hotel procedures.
- Removes trash and replenish amenities, linens, and supplies in guest rooms per hotel procedures.
- Cleans all windows inside and out.
- Greets guests immediately with friendly, sincere acknowledgement.
- Reports all maintenance deficiencies in guest rooms and corridors via work orders. Telephone deficiencies considered emergencies (i.e. overflowing toilets or broken pipes in bathrooms, lights out in bathroom, closets, or corridors, broken mirror or window) to the maintenance department.
- Signs for room keys. Retrieves cart, push to assigned rooms, and restock heavy cart.
- Visually inspect room for cleanliness and appearance and signify completion for room.
- Cleans balconies, if applicable.
- Other duties as assigned.
