This is a full-time 40 hour/ week position
Position Summary: The Administrative Assistant III position performs a variety of booking, admission, registration, secretarial, and Patient Services duties for the Medical Oncology Service.
+ Ensures Oncology patients are greeted professionally and warmly and receive outstanding service.
+ Coordinates complex scheduling with a variety of ancillary services, lab, radiology, etc in a timely and accurate manner.
+ Provides check in and check out for patients and coordinates all follow up appointments and referrals.
+ Works as part of care team for Oncology service.

+ Ability to work in a fast paced, demanding environment.
+ Must provide outstanding, professional and caring service to all patients, family, etc.
+ Excellent communication and organizational skills.
+ Ability to juggle multiple priorities with attention to detail required.
+ Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
+ Associates degree preferred. Prior experience as administrative support in fast paced outpatient Medical Oncology/Hematology clinic strongly preferred.
+ Prior outpatient medical practice experience required. Meditech experience preferred. Medical terminology, Medical Oncology/Hematology specific preferred.
