Automation Technician


Job Details

As an Automation Technician at Amphenol Industrial Operations (AIO), you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing operations by maintaining and improving the automated production lines. This role requires a robust understanding of automation technologies, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and improvement of our automation systems.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain automation equipment
  • Peform regular maintenance and repairs on automation equipment to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with robotic systems, PLCs, and other automated machinery.
  • Develop and implement systems improvements and optimizations to increase production efficiency and quality.
  • Work closely with the production and engineering teams to coordinate automation projects.
  • Document automation processes and maintain accurate records of system configurations and modifications.
  • Train other technicians and operators on new automation technologies and procedures.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.

Qualifications Education/Experience:


  • Associate degree in Automation Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in automation-focused role within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of robotic systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and sensor technology
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical diagrams
  • Experience with programming and troubleshooting automation software
