Summary of Position:

Responsible for the maintenance and repair of facilities and machinery to support efficient operations/production.

Responsibilities:

Performs basic and routine facilities maintenance, construction, and repair tasks according to service, quality, and safety standards. Following standard operating procedures, installs, inspects, repairs, and performs preventative maintenance to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management systems. Assists with miscellaneous facility projects, including painting, drywall, carpentry, installation of fixtures, and moving furniture or materials within the facility. Utilizes a work order system to log activities as required. Works with or assists trades contractors to complete projects or complex repairs. Work with internal departments & external parties as requested. Other duties as requested.

Education and/or Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) or combination of school and experience

2 years' experience performing similar duties including electrical,

Pneumatics and Hydraulics.

Skills/Abilities

Working knowledge of basic tools and proper use of tools

Knowledge of maintenance procedures and techniques

Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.

Knowledge of welding

Knowledge of fabricating

Language Skills

Ability to communicate both written and verbal.

Ability to follow verbal and written instruction.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to do simple addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Basic understanding of units of measurement

Reasoning Ability

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of abstract and concrete

variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have entry level PC skills and experience in Microsoft Office applications.

Work is performed in a plant or warehouse environment where temperatures may vary, and noise levels are high. Personal Protective Equipment is required i.e. safety glasses, ear protection, steel toe shoes, protective gloves.
