Sasha Dale Photography is a full service portrait photography studio located just outside of beautiful Downtown Mystic, CT. Our brand specializes in two very distinct genres of photography. We offer Personal Branding Photoshoots for businesses looking to update their websites, brand and social media content and we offer a highly sought after boudoir portrait experience in which we give women a safe space to celebrate themselves and their bodies through an empowering self-love photoshoot.
Both of these experiences wouldnt be the same without our incredible team of professionals. Our roles are all equally important in giving our clients a luxury experience.
**ABOUT THE POSITION: STUDIO/PHOTOGRAPHY ASSISTANT
Position is part time, approximately 15-20 hours per week.
Typical work days are Wed-Fri 9:30-4 (occasional Tuesdays) plus virtual team meetings on Mondays.**
**GENERAL TASKS**
* Studio clean-up and organization. (Pre and Post shoots).
* Strips/gathers studio linens and used client wardrobe after sessions for laundering
* Pre-fill client gift bags (when running low) and track other inventory
* Package client products for pick-up
* Clear and update client welcome sign after each shoot
* Keep studio wardrobe organized by category and/or size
* Make sure windows are closed at the end of each shoot day, reset thermostat as needed, etc.
**PHOTOGRAPHY / SHOOT RELATED TASKS (training provided)**
* Shoot behind the scenes video footage during photoshoot. (Will be trained, equipment will be provided)
* Shoot behind the scenes photographs (equipment provided, experience preferred but not required)
* When permitted by client, capture behind the scenes shots/clips for social media
* Upload and/or edit video clips (online editing platform provided)
* Photo editing (training provided)
* Move studio furniture and props around during shoots
* Help with lighting and backdrops (must be capable of lifting /moving objects over 50lbs.)
**QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS**
* High school diploma or higher
* Basic knowledge of digital SLR camera use (and video recording)
* Punctual, tidy, respectful and attention to detail.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Positive mindset/customer focused; remember you are the director of first impressions
* Capable of lifting 50+ lbs
* Ability to be on feet for max of 4 hours (duration of photoshoot)
* Reliable computer is a plus for the video editing portion of the work.
* Dress: Business casual on shoot days. (NO sweat pants/hoodies- must look presentable and professional). Avoid bright colors or anything that may cause color cast in photographs of clients.
