Position Summary

The Regional Safety Manager oversees all safety operations for the Region. The Manager will travel to various job sites throughout the Region to accomplish the job duties and my need to assist other Regional Safety Managers, as needed. The Manager will consciously work to reduce worker exposure to job site hazards and ensure a safe working environment throughout all of CAMP's construction site locations in the Region. The Safety Manager will conduct training for new hire safety orientation and health and safety training, such as initial and refresher training on fall protection, scaffolding, ladder usage, and other related topics. The Safety Manager will be expected to build effective relationships with the Operations Team, our subcontractors, our clients, and their residents. The Safety Manager is responsible for ensuring that employees and subcontractors comply with safety programs that guide CAMP in the construction industry. The Manager will represent CAMP to the customers, clients, subcontractors, vendors, OSHA, and the general public with the highest level of competence and professionalism.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

The Regional Safety Manager must have proven abilities as a safety professional, sufficient education, and experience to execute the assigned duties effectively. The Manager must possess excellent oral and written communication skills as well as superb listening and critical decision-making skills. Must be able to meet multiple conflicting deadlines and multi-task on a regular basis. Experience with Multi-Family construction and safety is highly preferred. Quality control experience is preferred. Analytical thinking and great attention to detail will be of the highest priority for the Safety Manager. Intermediate-level Microsoft programs such as Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word are required. Experience with ProCore is highly preferred, or other safety management software is a plus. OSHA 500 or other safety certifications, required.

Responsibilities
Manages and helps develop CAMP's general health and safety policies and procedures.
Support locations with identified high-risk activities by conducting safety inspections and site visits to educate and ensure safe operations.
Conduct frequent, random, and unannounced job site safety inspections.
Attend meetings (can be virtual meetings) for Pre-Construction discussions to ensure safety and project requirements are established during the planning process.
Help conduct or ensure Superintendents perform toolbox talks with subcontractors, at least weekly on job sites. Help create custom toolbox talk topics when requested.
Ensures the workplace's compliance with OSHA and other state, local, or industry-specific regulations and that periodic safety audits are conducted.
Train all new CAMP employees during the New Hire Orientation Program on topics appropriate to their job descriptions.
Train CAMP employees with refresher training and other safety-related programs.
Train CAMP employees on weekly safety meeting topics, refresher courses, and other safety-related programs.
Educate subcontractors on safe work practices, including methods of compliance.
Produce training materials and courses, as needed, to develop CAMP employees' and subcontractors' knowledge of safety programs and requirements.
Assist with incident reporting and investigation to determine where changes need to be made to prevent similar accidents in the future. May need to travel on short notice to assist and conduct incident investigations.
Report back to CAMP's leadership and management regarding safety adjustments that may be required.
Knowledgeable of the Building and Construction industry, including, but not limited to, materials, methods, and tools involved in Construction or Repair of all aspects of the Multi-Family industry. Includes understanding of Multi-Family construction drawings and specifications.
Supports the Safety Director in all aspects of the Safety department.
Ensure the CAMP's core values, policies, and procedures are lived and followed by all.
