The Ford Agency is currently recruiting for a talented Associate for a boutique firm in Montgomery County specializing in Family and Estate Planning. This is a terrific role for an up and coming associate with 2+ years of experience with a passion for representing clients in the courtroom whose looking for a supporting firm to grow their career with. Responsibilities Include:
- Prepare legal correspondence, such as pleadings, briefs, affidavits, and motions
- Conduct legal research
- Prepare for and attend hearings
- Provide legal counsel under the supervision of partners and senior attorneys
Qualifications Include:
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
- Admission to the Maryland Bar
- 2+ years of experience in Family, Estate Planning, or Disability Benefits Law
- Excellent research and writing skills and strong analytical skills
- Familiarity with legal research databases, such as Lexis-Nexis, Westlaw, Bloomberg, and PACER
- Proficiency is MSOffice
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability interact with different constituencies (other attorneys, clients, courtroom officials)
