POSITION: Claim Payments Processor

REPORTING TO: Payments Supervisor

Classification: Non-Exempt

As a Claims Payments Processor in our Accounting Department. In this role, you will provide excellent service to our customers by ensuring payments are processed promptly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:

Job Duties

  • Support immediate requests of all incoming phone calls and emails by processing payments, confirming policy information, and managing account and/or policy detail changesProvide accurate, valid, and complete information to authorized repair facilities and dealerships
  • Accurately process client payments and disbursements in a timely fashion, adhering to team standards for completion (SLAs)
  • Make calls to repair facilities assisting in running payments
  • Gather and sort invoices for Accounts Payables
  • Process workflow from the claims department to issue payment via credit card processor to repair facilities
  • Research customer requests to ensure proper documentation and procedural protocols are followedConfirming payment requirements with a high degree of accuracy
  • Assist leaders/teammates in researching and resolving difficult (escalated) problems, resulting in follow-up with clients, agents, and/or colleagues
  • Document work by following standard procedures and communicate with teammates on task completion
  • Identifies opportunities to improve efficiencies and work with team to suggest and implement process improvements
  • Additional tasks and duties as assigned

Job Qualifications
  • 2 year of experience customer service experience
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Exemplary attention to detail
  • Excellent and effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet multiple deadlines
  • Must be a team player and able to work within a team toward a shared goal
  • Must be able to transition quickly and efficiently
  • Ability to think critically and use common sense to solve issues and problems that arise
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); comfortability working in different technologies
  • High school degree

This position is onsite Monday through Friday and one Saturday per month. The applicant must be able to work this shift to support our phone coverage needs.
