Machine Operator - Floater Drawer / Door Department

Education, Training & Experience

  • High School Diploma/GED equivalent.
  • Wood Manufacturing Experience Preferred.
  • Ability to read tape measure in millimeters and understand dimensional tolerancing.

Responsibilities
  • Comply with all Safety requirements (PPE, LOTO, etc.).
  • Perform frequent Quality Inspections.
  • Operate various machines (ex. dovetail, rip saw, bottom groove, boring, edge band, etc.)
  • Follow set production schedule.
  • Set up and adjustment of equipment.
  • Operation of the equipment, including loading and unloading of materials.
  • Maintain production logs and all necessary paperwork.


Expectations
  • Meet or exceed parts per hour as required by standard run rates.
  • Quality should meet or surpass customer requirements in squareness, even joints and overall appearance.
  • Other tasks as assigned (machine operator) must meet criteria standard specifications in the areas of quality and output.
  • Excellent attendance record.
  • Comply with break and lunch times.


Physical Requirements
  • Standing 100% of time.
  • Bending 5% of time.
  • Lifting 5 to 30 lbs continuously.
  • Walking 5% of time.
