Assists disabled and impaired students getting on and off bus or in and out of a taxi or other automotive vehicle including lifting, folding, unfolding, positioning, and securing wheelchairs and other restraint devices; maintains safe conditions during operation. Required. Any combination of education and experience equivalent to completion of the seventh grade. Must have, or be able to obtain, certification in emergency first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and the use of an automated external defibrillator [22.1-178]. Successful completion of the FCPS transportation attendant training program. Must complete the Virginia Board of Education training program on autism spectrum disorders [8 VAC 20-70-350].
