Vapor Point is an environmental service provider specializing in liquid scrubber technology and Thermal Vapor Control for the removal of hazardous air pollutants such as VOCs and H2S.
The West Texas Control System Integrator, is responsible and accountable for all aspects of the day-to-day functions surrounding the successful implementation and operation of Vapor Point s instrumentation and telemetry assets.
Expectations & Goals Include:
- Commissioning of controls systems and telemetry for field equipment at remote sites.
- Field and shop wiring of instrumentation including valves, pressure transmitters, flow meters, analyzers, pumps, etc.
- Field and shop wiring of control panels.
- Field troubleshooting of field instrumentation and control panels.
- Program and troubleshoot PLC/HMI/SCADA in the shop and field.
- Establish and troubleshoot communications between field telemetry and Ignition SCADA.
Key Qualifications:
- 5+ years of working experience with instrumentation and controls.
- Ignition SCADA experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to perform instrumentation wiring with or without wiring diagrams.
- Ability to troubleshoot PLC s, instrumentation, and telemetry.
- Working knowledge of ladder logic programming.
- Working knowledge of Modbus protocol such as setting up communication settings and maps.
- Working knowledge of MQTT protocol.
- Familiarity of positive displacement pump operation, both AC and DC.
- Familiarity with Signal Fire wireless telemetry is a plus.
- Familiarity with common PLC brands, Rockwell is preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft office.
- Self-starter, results oriented, problem solver, confidential.
