McCormick Canada is currently looking to hire a Regional Manager to join our Branded Flavour Solutions (aka Food Service or BFS) Sales team with responsibility for managing and growing our western Canadian business. The candidate chosen for this position must be located in the metro Vancouver area. The BFS Regional Manager Western Canada is responsible for developing and implementing customer strategies, plans and initiatives aligned with divisional priorities to achieve regional performance targets and maximize business and profits for McCormicks food service business in Western Canada. Working closely with our sales broker partner , this role works to secure growth opportunities, actively solicits and manages development projects within the existing customer base and seeks out and qualifies new opportunities to grow the business while developing and maintaining close working relationships with our customers and business partners.

Responsibilities include;

* With Sales management involvement, develop and manage customer strategies to achieve regional performance targets and maximize business and profits

* In alignment with divisional priorities, develop and implement strategic and tactical business plans for Key customers within the territory (National/Regional Food Service Accounts, Food Service Distribution), gaining approval with management and other key stakeholders. Implement and develop measures for success against business plan and report progress to customer and McCormick management

* Regional Manager is responsible for managing and working closely with the regional sales broker, establish in-depth working relationships and manage activities at all levels within Purchasing, Supply Chain, Marketing, Technical, and Operations within customers in the Western Canada region

* Prioritize accounts and customer initiatives and independently manage and measure performance across all product lines and customer segments

* Maintain an intimate knowledge of the food service industry and players in the Western region. Be viewed as a critical contact for McCormick within the territory and drive customer penetration through industry knowledge, innovation and proactive customer intimacy

Qualifications Required:

* Minimum BA required in Business, or related field.

* 8+ years business-to-business sales experience in the food service industry preferred, though candidates with strong sales experience in the food industry or an adjacent industry with a similar selling environment will be considered

* Acceptable driving record, including a valid drivers license is required

* Developed and demonstrable critical thinking skills and business acumen

* Highly developed written and verbal communications skills that are clear, concise, and appropriate in timing and directed to appropriate levels.

* Ability to manage limited internal resources and prioritize appropriately

* Ability to be innovative and take risks to drive new initiatives and new business

* Travel is required for customer and business meetings, once it is again safe to do so

* Self-driven, motivated and highly engaged individual with a strong bias for action and sense of accountability combined with a keen ability and desire to work closely and collaboratively with the food service sales and marketing team and our business partners
