We are currently searching for a **Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to** be based in Texas for Unistrut Construction. (Preferably located in Dallas, Houston, San Antonio or Austin) Reporting to Director of Sales for Unistrut Construction, this person will be responsible for leading our commercial activity in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and New Mexico and is supported by estimating, engineering and our local project administration team. The ideal candidate has a personal drive for success and truly understands value-based selling in the post pandemic environment, is very strong at using digital project tracking services and contemporary methods delivering sales presentations, all toward successfully achieving goals.

In this role, the RSM focuses on promoting and developing our position in the Healthcare, Data Center and Complex Commercial Construction markets. Our primary customer in these segments are sophisticated larger General Contractors serving the renovation and new construction segments building marque or highly visible projects across the region. In each of these segments, by applying our in-house capabilities of design, fabrication and installation, we are able to address unique and often very complex needs. We create value on multiple projects every year ranging from small book and turn renovation work right up through very large multimillion multiyear projects.

The ideal candidate will have over eight years of sales experience or construction industry experience and a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related engineering, business or construction disciplines. Experience in the construction industry is required.

**Additional Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:**

* Support our top-level strategic priorities for growth using our key account conversion program to develop and implement an action plan to achieve our revenue, margin and earnings objectives.

* Manage inbound lead services (Dodge, Medical Construction Data, etc.)

* Examine and interpret blueprints and reflected ceiling plans to find Unistrut appropriate work scope and to communicate our scope and requirements to the estimating team.

* Coordinate and own the entire bid submission process. Manage any online submittals of documents, bid sheets, NDAs and the like. Manage physical bid delivery where required.

* Where appropriate do physical walks of construction sites to clarify scope, mobilization issues, safety standards, and site conditions and qualifications.

* Develop and implement a robust follow up process.

* Expand our scope of work through greater customer integration earlier in the design cycle.

* Support the needs of our customer base once work is awarded including contract review, securing change-orders and aid with collections where appropriate.

* Travel requirements are 50-60% of time and critical to the position.

**Required skills:**

* Executive-level construction sales experience selling a highly engineered solution.

* A history of building sales and relationships in this market and industry segment.

* Demonstrated ability to build upon existing and build new strong customer relationships.

* Possess a technical aptitude and comfort in understanding blueprints and specifications.

* Strong understanding of the general construction engineer bid tender process.

* Financial acumen.

* Possess the ability to think strategically and develop long-term goals while tactically reacting quickly to changing market conditions.

* Must be a team player.

* Word, Excel, PPT and CRM tool experience.

**Qualifications include:**

* 8-10 plus years in a senior sales position in or serving the construction industry.

* Proven history of sales performance managing a territory in a competitive industry.

* Significant construction experience including business development, project management, design engineering (as examples).

* BS or equivalent experience in related engineering, business or construction disciplines.
