Procurement Manager


Job Details

Established and thriving contract manufacturing company is seeking a Procurement Manager to join their team. The Procurement Manager will manage the day-to-day activities of the Purchasing group. The Manager must have detailed knowledge of the marketplace for raw materials, packaging items, and outside services along with negotiating skills to work with multiple vendors for the purchase of all materials for the company.

The Procurement Manager will be responsible for the following:

  • Develop, lead, and execute the purchasing strategy along with the COO.
  • Observing purchasing policies in place and creating those that will help further processes.
  • Negotiating with vendors on all supplies.
  • Reviews any issues with vendor delays and overall performance.
  • Identify alternate sourcing for raw materials, packaging items, and services for existing items.
  • Identify cost savings for existing items.
  • Achieving the yearly cost savings target set by senior management.
  • Review and update of the reorder points for all items.

The Procurement Manager will have bachelor s degree in business or supply chain or 5 years of manufacturing or equivalent experience. Strong attention to detail and aptitude for accounting. Ability to manage a multitude of projects simultaneously. Knowledge of an ERP system. Experience within pharma, food, or supplements is a plus.
