The Office of the Judicial Administrator, Louisiana Supreme Court seeks an Executive Administrative Assistant to perform advanced secretarial and administrative duties supporting the Judicial Administrator of the Court. The Judicial Administrator's office handles many of the administrative responsibilities of the Louisiana Supreme Court. Duties for this position include providing executive level administrative assistance to the Judicial Administrator, managing communications with judges and members of the public, scheduling appointments and maintaining office calendar, handling special projects, procurement and other departmental responsibilities, and tasks as assigned by the Judicial Administrator. Work requires strong multitasking and organizational skills, and a high degree of initiative, independent judgment, and maintenance of confidentiality. Also lends assistance to the Chief Deputy Judicial Administrator as needed.

Qualified applicants must have six years of progressively responsible secretarial experience as an administrative, executive or legal secretary. Paralegal experience is a plus. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for three years of the required experience. Ideal candidate must be detail oriented and able to handle and prioritize duties and complex work assignments efficiently. Must have the ability to communicate effectively with high level officials from across the state. Must also possess advanced computer skills with a high proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites and excellent grammar and writing skills. Testing may be required.
