Position Summary:

Full-time, year-round position, for a landscaper that is dependable, trustworthy and hard working. Must be able to operate and maintain commercial equipment including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and chainsaws, to maintain and beautify the landscaping at various Sprint locations.

Responsibilities:

1. This position is responsible for maintaining the overall safety and appearance of the stores exterior landscaping, including maintaining lawns, gardens, and public spaces.

2. Responsible for planting, pruning, mowing, tree trimming, mulching, removing debris, weeds, dead plants.

3. Responsible for cleaning sidewalks and parking lots using backpack and hand blowers, power brushes and various manual tools to remove trash and maintain the overall exterior appearance of our stores.

4. Ability to operate and maintain various pieces of gas powered and electric landscaping equipment including but not limited to push and zero turn lawn mowers, hedgers, trimmers, blowers, brooms, trimmers as well as various hand tools associated with this work.

5. Ability to drive truck with trailer, (DOT physical or ability to obtain on is required)

6. Monitor and preform minor repairs to existing sprinkler systems.

7. Ability to use a pressure washer to maintain building, sidewalk and parking area appearance.

8. Ability to perform minor repairs to fences, gates, stone walls, paths and walk ways and similar features of the building and property.

9. Must maintain electronic records of work completed, inventory and expenses.

10. Ability to work with minimal direction while managing assigned work orders in a timely and efficient manner.

11. Adhering to all safety procedure and regulation.

12. Ability to respond to emergencies off hours, on weekends and holidays.

13. Other duties as directed by management.

Working Relationships:

This team member will need to communicate with internal maintenance teams, store managers, and Supervisor. May interact with facilities support, construction, and other departments in the support of their projects throughout the company. As well as establish and maintain positive relationships appropriate vendors.


Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Education: None

Minimum Experience: 0-2 yrs. years service landscaping experience.

Preferred Experience: 2-3 years service landscaping and computer skills.

Licenses/Certifications: DOT physical or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire date (required)

Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, ability to organize daily workload with minimal oversite.

Other:

Physical: must be able to lift 75 lbs. Grasping/griping/fine manipulation. Pushing/pulling/Bending/kneeling/twisting/climbing/walking/sitting/standing frequently. Carrying and lifting above shoulder level infrequently.

Ability to work outside in all weather conditions, year round.

Hours & Conditions: 40 hours M-F.
