Job Title: Front Desk Attendant

Reports to: Front Desk Manager

Department: The Inn

Location: The Union League of Philadelphia (140 S Broad St, Philadelphia, PA 19102)

Description:

The Front Desk Attendant is upbeat, personable, and hospitable. Responsible for checking guests in and out of their hotel room, verifying identification and payment and be able to answer all questions regarding the Inn, the Union League, and any specific questions regarding their accommodations. This person must be detailed orientated, pleasant, honest, and friendly. They should be able to address and handle all guest requests and problems while adhering to all policies, procedures, and standards of The Union league.

Responsibilities:

  • Review Arrivals list each date
  • Perform all check-in/check-out tasks
  • Manage online and phone reservations
  • Greet and welcome guests upon their arrival
  • Post correct and accurate charges
  • Respond to guest complaints in a timely and professional manner
  • Upsell rooms when appropriate
  • Be knowledgeable about the Inn and the League itself
  • Communicate with other departments effectively
Skills and Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Customer Service experience
  • Well-groomed, professional appearance
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to work independently and multi-task
  • Desire and willingness to work as a team and within other departments
  • Personal maturity, sound judgement, motivation, and integrity
  • Timing Flexible
  • Team player
