The Department of Biology in the College of Science, Engineering and Technology invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor of Biology (Molecular/Cell Biology and Biochemistry).
Qualifications
Minimum Required Education
Must have a Ph.D. in one of the following areas: Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology, Biochemistry or a closely related field with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in the field of study to be eligible to teach courses.
Minimum Required Experience
Must provide evidence of effective and innovative teaching of undergraduate or graduate courses.
Minimum Required Licenses and/or Certifications
None required.
Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with post-doctoral research experience, research publication records and successful research grants.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
* Teaching undergraduate and graduate level biological science courses such as, but not limited to: Molecular/Cell Biology and Biochemistry.
* Advising and mentoring students.
* Conducting research in areas of expertise.
* Developing and maintaining a dynamic, extramurally funded research program that meets the Biology department's research focus.
* Providing service to the department, college, university, community and profession.
* Performing other duties as assigned.
