Overview

This Parts Runner will drive back and forth between our Vista and Ontario locations, gathering parts for mechanics and delivering to job sites, office locations, and warehouses. Vehicle will be provided for transport. Primary Work Location- Vista, CA

Parts Runners drive to and from our vendors to deliver and pick up parts, work within our parts warehouse filling customer orders, and must be familiar with general hand tools.

Responsibilities

  • Pickup parts from company vendors
  • Deliver parts to warehouse and jobsites as needed
  • Keep parts shelves organized, cleaned, and stocked
  • Keep counters, floors, and walkways clear and free of debris
  • Remove trash from parts department
  • Take customer orders and fulfill them as needed
  • Other related duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent - required
  • Clean driving record and familiarity driving in the Bay Area
  • Ability to safely secure and haul trailers
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools and how to secure them during transportation
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willing and able to work and drive in a variety of weather conditions
  • Willing and able to travel to other Underground Construction offices and job sites
  • Ability to maintain a valid driver's license
  • Ability to work extended hours when necessary for business needs
  • Experience working in construction is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • None

Physical Requirements

  • Exerting up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 15 lbs. force frequently and/or a negligible amount of force constantly
  • Ability to lift a maximum of 60 lbs. Anything heavier than this requires a two-man lift
  • Work involves standing, sitting, climbing, kneeling, and crouching to a significant degree. Eye/hand coordination is essential
  • Prolonged periods of sitting in a vehicle
  • Working in a shop environment

Pay- $ 19.00 - $ 22.00 / Hourly *Depending on Experience
