THE POSITION

The Child & Adolescent Caseworker Outreach Program Case Management is designed to ensure client access to community agencies, services and people whose functions are to provide the support, training and assistance required for a stable, safe and healthy community life.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The Child and Adolescent Outreach Caseworker responsibilities will include the following duties:

+ Monitoring and assessing needs.

+ Working closely with all behavioral health and ancillary service providers.

+ Providing consultation in accordance with applicable confidentiality regulations

+ Providing prevention and intervention activities in schools and community.

+ Participating in community groups and coalitions.

+ Disseminating educational materials and serving as the mental health liaison to the Student Assistance Program Teams in assigned schools.

+ Maintaining documentation and follow-up as needed.

+ Assure appropriate referrals are made to assist the child or adolescent in accessing more formal service including, but not limited to Mental Health Blended Case Management and/or Drug & Alcohol Case Management.

+ Other duties will be performed, as related, to complete program objectives.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

+ Full-time employment.

+ Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

+ Hours may vary due to travel, after hours appointments, etc.

+ Telework:You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and

work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework,

you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Towanda.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

+ Six months of experience as a County Caseworker 1;or

+ Successful completion of the County Social Casework Intern program;or

+ A bachelor's degree with a social welfare major;or

+ A bachelor's degree which includes or is supplemented by 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences and one year of professional social casework experience in a public or private social service agency;or

+ Any equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.

+ Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within two months of graduating with a qualifying degree/credits.

+ PA residency requirement ( Info/Pages/default.aspx) is currentlywaivedfor this title.

+ You must be able to perform essential job functions.

+ A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening.

+ This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
