Description
Youth Services is currently seeking a part-time Child Care Worker to join our team. This position will work at our Elm Grove after- school program 5 days a week from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Responsibilities:
- Interact, monitor, facilitate and assist elementary aged children on an individual and group bases.
- Instructs children in activities designed to promote their social, physical and intellectual growth.
- Instruct and assist children with personal cleanliness, hygiene and self-care.
- Provide snacks and assist with keeping the rooms well maintained and clean.
- Willing to abide by State regulations and have good interpersonal communication skills with a diverse group of people.
- Maintain client files and all required documentation.
- Attain and maintain certification as required. This position does not work when there is no school.
Qualifications:- High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor or Associate degree in child development/social services/education or related field preferred.
- Previous experience with target population required.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- Good documentation and oral communication skills required.
Pay Rate: $13.00
