Position Title: Group Therapist

Setting:Psychiatric Hospital

Local Pay: $55 for Associate, $65 for Licensed with the BBS

Travel Pay: $2617 gross per week for Associate, $3017 gross per week for Licensed with the BBS

Location: Santa Rosa

Schedule: 5x8s

Days: Tues-Sat

Shift: 9a-5p

Contract Length: 6 months to start, high possibility of extension

Experience: Must be Registered or Licensed with the BBS, some group facilitation experience preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Independently facilitate therapeutic group sessions for patients with diverse psychiatric diagnoses, focusing on promoting emotional regulation, coping skills, and interpersonal effectiveness.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to foster a safe and healing environment within group settings.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' progress and adjust treatment strategies accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of group sessions, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Current registration with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) as an LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, AMFT, APCC or ASW
  • Demonstrated experience conducting group therapy sessions in a mental health setting.
  • Proficiency in utilizing various therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based interventions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse patient populations and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards of practice.
