**Senior Buyer - Beauty**

**About the Role**
The FN Senior Buyer for Beauty is responsible for keeping up a reputation in the fashion world that is second to none, by bringing it every day. You will know your category and customer demographic and will utilize your skillset to stay ahead of the competition to develop strong and innovative merchandise assortments. You will manage brand relationships, marketing strategies, and online presentation. You will partner with a large and collaborative team across Fashion Nova to drive sales, margins, and other targets as defined. This position must work cross-functionally to achieve their goals. The position reports directly to the GM of Beauty.
**Responsibilities:**
* Develop and execute upon strategies to achieve financial objectives to assigned categories
* Manage vendor/brand portfolio, performance, and relationships to maximize profitability and achieve financial objectives
* Develop assortment plans that support department goals
* Develop seasonal merchandise plans and marketing strategies
* Partner with Planning team to manage OTB, sales plan, margin goals, etc. on a regular basis
* Update monthly forecasts with goal to exceed annual plans
* Conduct and oversee all necessary sales analysis to support business decision-making and growth
* Develop marketing plans that set pricing and product cadence to optimize profitable sales and support the corporate marketing strategy
* Understand desires, needs, wants, experience, and expectations of our Nova Babes
* Identify and ensure a pipeline of new trends, brands, and products to meet customer and market needs
* Proactively assess and monitor the competitive landscape and marketplace to determine potential opportunities or threats
* Mentor, coach, and develop direct reports to position them for success and promotability
* Any other duties assigned by management
**Required Skills:**
* Bachelor's degree
* 5+ years experience in beauty buying for a large specialty retailer or e-commerce brand
* Strong negotiation and vendor relationship management skills
* Clear and effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills required
* Extreme multitasking skills.
* High ability to work efficiently and quickly without a lack of superior quality.
* Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
* Exceptional attention to detail and quality control.
* Ability to organize, prioritize, and reorder workload in a dynamic environment.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
