Duties include but are not limited to storage of goods in active locations, selecting merchandise for shipment, sorting and cross-training into other functions within the DC. Adhering to all J.Jill safety standards and continually strives for improved customer service. *ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: *Performs various tasks involving the storage of merchandise in active locations. Moves merchandise from a single unit to full cases of merchandise weighing up to 40lbs using a handheld computer/scanner.Prepare orders for shipment by selecting merchandise from shelves using a handheld computer/scanner then placing merchandise into bins and/or sorting merchandise weighing up to 30lbs into totes to prepare for shipment.Performs other functions within other departments in the DC, including but not limited to, Retail, QI/QAS, Freight, Receiving, Shipping, as well as other Direct Operation functions.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:Ability to use good judgment in order to carry out detail instructions.Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions.Ability to use a hand-held RF device.Attention to detail.Ability to be flexible and multi-task.Ability to work with people, collaboratively.Ability to make judgment calls on quality.Ability to adapt to change.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Self-starter with good organization and time management skills.
