Under the direct supervision of the Park Management, the CCPRC Attendant will perform various duties at park facilities operated by the Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission.
This is to include, but not limited to:
Gate Operations
Waterpark Operations: Concessions/Tickets
Rental Operations
Retail Operations
Maintenance Operations
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Provide superior customer service
Accurately operate a register
Enforce park and agency rules
Ensure cleanliness and general upkeep of park facilities
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to follow instructions and demonstrate good judgment
Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with fellow employees
Ability to deal courteously with the public
Ability to perform in a busy or stressful situation
Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test
Maintain reliable transportation
Minimum Training and Experience
Based on first day of employment:
Most park attendants must be at least 15 years of age
Skatepark attendants must be 16 years of age
Concessions Cook positions must be 16 years of age
Working Conditions and Physical Abilities
Work is a combination of office and outdoor environments
Must possess a clear speaking voice and the ability to communicate
Must be physically able to operate a variety of machines and equipment including cash registers, computers, hand held radios, etc.
May occasionally need to lift/move up to 60
