Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Healthcare Controller to oversee our company's financial records and accounting personnel. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining all procedures and controls related to the company's financial accounts.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and report financial and operational results to the Board of Directors on a monthly basis.
  • Handle the Treasury Function for the company, including managing lines of credit, bank balances, loan payments, meeting covenant requirements, and bank audits.
  • Oversee all financial transactions for the organization.
  • Manage cash flow planning and ensure the availability of funds as needed.
  • Manage the BlueCross BlueShield relationship and perform monthly reconciliation on a timely basis.
  • Oversee the accounting department to ensure proper maintenance of all accounting systems and functions; supervise the accounting staff.
  • Manage the relationship with CPA firms, providing financial data as needed for tax returns and quarterly estimated tax payments.
  • Maintain adequate internal controls throughout the organization and work to continually improve controls.
  • Collaborate closely with operations teams to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Work closely with the Reimbursements Group to improve collections and quickly identify and resolve problems.
  • Coordinate the Risk Management and Insurance programs.
  • Handle the Property Management Software program and assist the executive team on leasing issues for two buildings owned and managed by the company.
  • Function as the administrator for the 401K and Payroll Systems.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives to identify their needs and seek a full range of business solutions.
  • Provide leadership in strengthening internal communications with staff at all levels throughout the organization, creating and promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Work with the Executive Team to prepare and present financial data to potential investors.

Qualifications:

  • CPA is required; BS in Accounting or Finance and/or MBA highly desirable.
  • 10+ years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles, preferably in Health Care.
  • Strong computer skills with expert proficiency in Excel. Experience in Oracle NetSuite, AccPac, QuickBooks, Surgi-Source (SIS), SIS-Complete, and Advanced.
