IT Specialist Summary: The IT Specialist is responsible for the support of hardware and software within Specialty Dental Brands (SDB). Responsible for implementing solutions and supporting computer systems, servers, networks, and software of the organization. This position interacts with all departments within Specialty Dental Brands.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide support and maintenance of computer systems, servers, software, and printers Configure hardware and software for cloud-based and locally hosted solutions Provide support for Microsoft 365, Windows, macOS, practice management software, and other SDB systems Create and maintain SharePoint sites, Power Automate Flows, and Power Apps Implement best practices in Microsoft Admin centers Execute the security and compliance strategies of the organization Manage user accounts, groups, and permissions Assist with managing hardware inventory cycle: staging, distribution, and recovery of equipment Support the helpdesk by troubleshooting problems and providing resolutions Collaborate across all organizational departments and external resources Monitor systems, safeguard user up-time, and perform daily tasks by utilizing remote monitoring and management (RMM) tools Assist with migration of emails and domains across tenants Support and assist with phone system implementations Other duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science or a related field Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Information Technology Minimum 2-3 years of experience working with Windows Server environments Minimum 2-3 years of experience working with Practice Management Software in Dental or Healthcare Experience using and configuring Microsoft 365 Admin Centers Experience configuring and maintaining corporate Networks and VPNs Experience configuring and implementing phone systems Must have the ability to troubleshoot advanced hardware and software issues Proficiency supporting locally hosted and cloud-based software solutions Excellent listening, verbal/written communication and documentation skills are required Ability to maintain confidentiality
